Jaipur people prefer DHABA over restaurants. As a student I had same mentality but as time passed I start to think of cleanliness, hygiene, AC and comfortable seats. But the joy of have dinner with friends at dhaba is priceless.
I visited hanuman dhaba for first time in 2006. I was new to Jaipur city. I was invited to my classmate birthday party at HANUMAN DHABA. I took it as sarcasm to hanuman temple in nearby area. But it was not. It was a red colored building with sitting arrangement at 3 different levels. Building was partially damaged and many glass windows were partially broken. My internal feeling to dine in at such place was not great. Food was good and prices were very low. Their service and taste was very good at such price. In few months I got used to their routine birthday party at human dhaba. From that time till today when we friends meet in Jaipur we try to had dinner at same place and then go to panchwati circle for pan.
Recently in November 2015 we had dinner at hanuman dhaba. They have improved a lot. Now they have different floor for people who want AC and good seats, one floor with centralized AC and ground floor in old style just table, seats and salt on table.
