Happy Bhag Jayegi stars Abhay Deol and Diana Penty in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes Jimmy Shergil, Ali Fazal, Momal Sheikh and Piyush Mishra. The movie is about a happy-go-lucky Amritsari girl Happy who flees from her own wedding and ends up in an influential political family in Pakistan by mistake. And now begins all confusion and drama!
The movie marks the return of Diana Penty on screen after a hiatus of four years. She plays the part of Happy to perfection. Abhay and Ali are good at their respective roles but Jimmy Shergil steals the show with his portrayal of Bagga, an aspiring politician and Happy’s would be groom. Piyush Mishra sets the screen on fire as an Urdu speaking Pakistani police officer.
The movie is an absolute entertainer. You can’t stop laughing through out the movie. The simple and yet adorable characters make you fall in love with them.
