There are several reasons why people watch a movie. Certain movies are attracted because there is an actor/hero especially here in Andhra Pradesh, many movies are house full as the fans of certain hero make it housefull as he has featured in it.
There are very rare movies which make their presence on their being able to attract as a whole. One of such rarities is the movie "Happy Days". I do not know whether everyone’s college days are happy days, but the hours we spend in the movie do remind us why those days were happy days!
Some movies make an impression on the mind of people. There are certain dialogues that remain in some people’s mind forever. This movie has some of them.
The way Tyson goes, pleads and gets Shravs for the tour is real good. He does not want to convince her mother by telling false stories and the way he expresses that is real worthwhile. While pleading with her he says "bhayamu ishtamu oka daggara undavu Shravs!" (I dont remember the dialogue exactly but it means more or less same) is a dialogue that will be used by many friends during their several conversations.
The movie makes real impressions because it feels more or more like we are part of it. As all the actors and actresses are unknown, they give a feeling of being the characters themselves rather than the image made up by the hero/heroene.
Sekhar Kammula’s first film "Anand" had a few shortcomings, most of the dialogues are not like spoken but they appear more to be read out. But there is a marked difference here in his direction and style. With all unknown faces, the director has done great job.
During the movie going on, our mind was taken into the college campus. A group of 25 people who had come out of college some time back went for the movie. As the movie started, most of us felt that we should have studied a little further and added some more Happy days to our life, but by the end we thought, may be we haven’t had real happy days by that as the story was a little more factual than filmy.
Its a movie that is made for all. No restrictions, any one can watch with anyone!
