I never expected such pathetic service from a restaurant that’s competing agains Chakra & Curry Twist. The ambience is depressing as the walls are dark red and the ceiling pitch black. Looks more like a data centre server room rather than a restaurant. They have combo meals (thali) and starters. They boast of some specialties from the much better Urban Tadka. Starters are definitely good. Look at the menu and u realise that most of the dishes in the thali’s are same except for 1 item that would be different.
After lon deciding on what to eat, u give the order to the waiter. And you better give all at one go. The time taken to deliver is soo long and god knows why. Ask the waiter and he disappears in the kitchen only to come out and escape from us using another path. Starters come slowly one by one and after between long intervals of each other. so if you are waiting to have all at once, only the last dish to arrive will be hot. It took 1.5 hrs for our thali’s to arrive and 2 did not arrive even after 2 hours. We had to finally cancel it and left 2 friends heart broken.
The waiters just tend to ignore customers while talking and are more distracted by god knows what around them. The table has a small note warning the customers to check their bills - really loved this since I felt they must be deliberately adding something extra now and then :).
There is a mobile number pasted of the floor manager to complain to, but he seemed as lost as the whole gang. After all was over, we thought it was just our bad day, then we saw two other groups crying the same tune as us and they left hungry as well. This is the most rubbish service I have experienced and that too on a street full of excellent restaurants. I guess we should have stuck to Curry Twist or Chakra. Happy singh really made us unhappy and left us with nothing to sing.
