FORWARD : MAIL SENT TO FORD INDIA, NO REPLY RECEIVED IN 10 DAYS!! Dear Sir, This is the second time I am writing to you because of very poor, unprofessional and non-customer friendly response from your Harpreet Ford Gurgaon service centre. My car was sent to your service centre due to a major breakdown of engine failure on 6/9/07.
I was informed that the engine has ceased due to water intake. I gave them a go-ahead to procure half engine assembly(which idealy every authorised service centre should have in stock) on 26/09/07 after I got a decline letter from the Insurance company. I was told that the car would be ready within 7-10 days. It kept on getting delayed and they always had one excuse or other for the delay. finally I got a date 10th of October saying the part would reach us this day and we shall delivery you car in one day after that. I CALLED THEM TO COLLECT DELIVERY on 11th and I was TOLD THAT FORD HAS SENT DIESEL ENGINE PART INSTEAD OF PETROL AND IT WILL TAKE ANOTHER 10-15 DAYS!!! I am very sure that this cannot be possible with such a huge corporate like Ford and there is some mistake at the part of the dealer. Or there may be chances that they are treating me as a soft customer and using the same part for some other vehicle.
THIS IS REALLY SURPRISING THAT A COMPANY LIKE FORD WHO ARE STALWARTS OF THE INDUSTRY WORLDWIDE HAS SUCH A POOR SERVICE SUPPORT SYSTEM AS THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE BEEN FACING ISSUES FROM HARPREET FORD. I have a Maruti Car as well and I have been Maruti user since 12 years. Number of Times I have faced problems in those cars as well, but in the contrary even if an engine overhauling is required I get the car back in 2-3 days time!! In such a era of communication and efficient logistics, I fail to understand that why does it require 10 days to get a part from anywhere in the country to Gurgaon. I would request you to kindly look into this and arrange an alternate swifter way of transporting the part to Gurgaon Service Centre and ensure the delivery of car within 2-3 days from now.
