J.K Rowling is the authoress who created `Harry Potter’ and bewitched the world. The series consists of 4 titles, the most recent one being `Goblet of fire’ which sold about 372, 775 copies. Some achievement!
Well most of you might be wondering whats so great about `Harry Potter’’ and who is he? I thought the same too untill I finished reading one book and hey! I actually loved every moment of it. So lemme just brief u about the main character.
Harry is a 11 year bespectacled curly haired boy who discovers on his 11th birthday that he is a wizard. He inherits the magical powers from his parents, who were killed by a evil wizard Voldemort.
A series of adventures follow when he lands at the ’Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry’ with the help of Hagrid who is yet another strange & funny character. The school is a uncanny kind of place where mail is delivered to the pupils by their owls. Pupils move around in broom sticks and learn how to make magic potions!
Its really fascinating to read how well Rowling has used her imagination to create all these unique charcters.
They are so unreal but yet you start believing in them and as you read through you get totally immersed and absorbed in the story. Her writing style is simple yet grasping.
Ofcourse its not for those who hate reading or dislike books. But if you really admire reading good work, something light, enjoyable then go ahead read ’Harry Potter’ and plunge into a `new’ and mysterious world of `Witchcraft & Wizardry’!
