Well..OK now I dont agree with the I Hate Harry Potter Club, but Chamber of Secrets was the worst written of the five books released (and 3 yest to come, (yes 3, one conclusion book is also to be written) the plot of the book, the charatcer development and the setting was all too boring, and while u like the book when u read it for the first time, u start disliking it more and more everytime u read it again, (I have read the books I own, hundreds of times) this book is one of those rare exceptions, coz generally I have a single stand on a book, I either like it or I dont.
The book starts with Vernon Dursley shouting at Harry (I wont give u a whos who intro)
and goes on as Harry is locked up in his room and rescued by Ron, Gred and Feorge
in a flying Ford (ROFL). From then on they miss their train to school, and fly on to the skool, where they damage the whomping willow, and get detentions (yeah thats all) and so on and on until they find the entrance to a much hyped chamber of secrets built by Salazar Slytherin (one of the founders of the school) beneath a bathroom tap, in an out of order girls bathroom and then they go on rescue Ginny Weasley from the clutches of Tom Marvolo Riddle, who was a student of this school fifty years ago and was a prefect etc etc and surprise surprise, his name is an anagram for I Am Lord Voldemort (well he is voldemort himself, who finally returns to flesh and blood in the fifth book, but in the end it is narrated as if he dies, so lets c the final outcome in the next book soon to be released) So.....once again Voldemort comes out smelling of manure and no surprise, Dumbledore already knows that it ws voldemort who was behind this all and he even very mystically knows that it was Lucius Malfoy who was after all this. So....the book is full of nice adventures, and all that stuff that tradmarks a Rowling novel. The story is coloured by funny characters like Lockhart, who loses his memory and ofcourse there is Quidditch to enthrall the younger ones.
