4 years completed and Harry’s friendship with Ron and Hermione as grown, hatred for Snape and Malfoy has increased, and well Voldermont has arisen again. J.K, Rowling’s ’’Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire’’ is the best in the series so far. In this part, a realistic point of view has been taken to describe the
ever popular battle of Good v/s Evil. Harry’s eagerness to win the Tri-Wizards Tournament and his hatred towards how, in the end, he is crowned the Champion (owing to Cedric’s death) gives the book a humane point of view. It is really a piece of ’’literature’’ rather than ’’just another novel’’.
However, Dumbeldores speech to the whole school, during the Farewell Feast, is the highlight of the book. At that point in the novel, any reader feels depressed cos. of the death of Cedric and the rise of Voldermont, but what Dumbeldore says makes so much sense that anyone would feel at least a bit more courageous about choosing the right path in life. The last page of J.K, Rowling’s ’’Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire’’ leaves all readers with a sense of desperation as to what next:
What is Snape going to do for Dumbledore, will he remain faithful to him or desert him under the influence of his old master, ’’he-who-must-not-be-named - --Voldermont’’, what is Hagrid going to do during the summer, whats it going to be like when the ’’old crowd’’ gets together with Sirius and Lupin? All these queries are all waiting to be answered along with whether Dumbeldore and the Ministry will follow the same path after all?
Well, all we can do now is twiddle our thumbs and await the familiar name to hit the local bookstands.
Why can’t J.K.Rowling write any faster is the thought on my mind however......
J.K.Rowling has obviously enjoyed her school life enough to has been able to write such a descriptive and amazingly accurate account of how school students behave. She has created a perfected blend of brains, Hermione, sarcasm , Ron, courage , Harry. and unbeatable combination for ’’breaking rules’’ in school. Wonder which of the three characters she was during her school days.
Her characters grow as they ascend into further years of education in Hogwarts. For instance the irritation level of Hermione has increased when it comes to Malfoy, which is probably a good thing because he’d be cursed a whole lot sooner than the last page if Hermione would have lost her cool. But however their hatred towards the Slytherine house head, Prof.Snape, doesn’t seem to diminish at all.
The one sour point in all the Harry Potter series is that there isn’t anything or anyone interesting enough in Raveclaw. I mean, we have in Gryffindor our hero Harry, Ron and the rest of the gang, Slytherine has the ever hateful Prof. Snape and Malfoy and those hate-able guys and gals, and well Hufflepuf has Harry’s secret crush Cho and well the late Cederic Diggory; but what about anyone from Ravenclaw., none from that house ever makes it to the lime light.
The best part of all J.K.Rowling’s Harry Potters are the inter-house sport event - Quidditch. I did however missed the rivalry between all the houses for Quidditch supremacy; the Triwizards tournament is, in my opinion, not a very good substitute, but it does make a good change....but Quidditch in Hogwarts is still the most amazing part of any of her novels.
All in all I would recommend reading any Harry Potter to anyone who loves the wild and mystical world of Magic and make-believe, and is ready for a real roller coaster ride into a part of the human race they never thought existed.
