The Harry Potter Sereis

What makes a peice of art prominent? It has to have a strong charecter, some originality which attracts the readers attention at once, and for long. Some such charecters that have cherished are James Bond, Superman, Rambo and Rocky created by Stallone, Jackie Chans typical action movies, Perry Mason, the adventure sereis written by Enid Blyton for kids are just a few. Harry Potter, well, certainly holds a place among these, and one can hope to see a bright future for the Harry Potter Series. In a year, four books of the sereis swept readers and critics all over the world by their feet. The imaginative world that J.K Rowling has created within this ’’muggle’’ (non-magic people) world of ours simply cannot go unnoticed.

Harry Potter is a wizard, yes, but no ordinary wizard. When Harry Potter was a year old his family was killed by the most evil Dark Lord of all times, Voldemort. But when Voldemort tried to kill Potter, the element of love bestowed within him by his mother when she tried to protect him backfired at Voldemort, and then Voldemort abruptly diminished in power and human form. Even after a decade, the magical community dreads even the mention of his name and call Voldemort as ’’He who must not be named.’’

Harry Potter is raised by a ’’muggle’’ family who despice even the mention of magic. They treat Harry like the stepmothers treated Cinderella. But Harry knew after his 11th Birthday that he had something to look forward to, the HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCH CRAFT AND WIZARDRY. Hogwarts is a fictious created in the imagination of J.K Rowling and is an important landmark in the History of literature. It is the place where the exitement, humour and adventure blends to give an electrifying experience to the reader.

You have elves, goblins, unicorns, magical wands, socerers, wizards, witches, magical wands, centaurs, broomsticks, trolls, spells, moving portraits, and everything you can ever imagine.

When Voldemort had attacked Harry, in vein, he left a scar of Harry’s forehead in the shape of a lightning bolt. This makes people recognize him wherever he goes. To make the novel more intriguing the scar hurts whenever the dark forces suddenly become prominent and keeps the reader on the edge filled with exitement.

Qidditch is, according to me the most exellent creation by J.K Rowling. It is a magical sport in which seven players of two teams each fly on broomstics all over a ground, on which are placed two hoops opposite to each other. The chasers are supposed to put a ball through the hoops to score goals for their team. The beaters have to beat two constantly moving ball in order to knock down the players on the opposite team. The seeker, the most important player has to search for a tiny golden ball with feathered wings attached to it so it keeps on moving about. When a seeker of either team get the snitch, the game is over and his team gets a surplus of 150 points.

Harry Potter plays a seeker for his Gryffindor team and there is an exiting Quidditch match in each of his novels.

This peice of art certainly cant go unrecognized, Warner Bros. have taken up the task of giving the audience the pleasure of seeing this dreamworld alive on screen. Exiting is’nt it?

Finally in his very last adventure, uptil now, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Voldemort the dark lord comes to life. What now? The whole wizardry world is in a state of panic? This novel has promised the next one to be as gripping and breathtaking as the first three. So dont miss it.
