Hi everyone, this is my second review on MS. Before starting, let me tell u all that I am a harry potter addict. I have read all the books over 30 times and know Golpallot’s third law byheart....????...read the book to find out.
Harry Potter and the half blood prince is the best book of the series. You can see that J.K Rowling has worked very hard on the book and the end result is fantastic. The way she presents the complex plot is brilliant. Having read the book so many times, I have come across layers throughout the book i.e there is a deeeper meaning to those parts than what you just read. There are so many subtle clues throughout the book. I am not going to reveal any part of the plot so let me just say that the story is amazing and so is the humor. There are parts which can make you burst out laughing like a maniac and subtle humor which is present throughout the book. The book is the darkest of the series so far and the romance is thoroughly enjoyable.
Do not read the book if you havent read the other parts of the series. Read them in order. The 6th book is more of a continuation to the 5th book and its answers a LOT of questions. You will come across very interesting things about some of the charachters and some big revealations.
Let me clear up a matter which has been tagged on the series since the beginning. The Harrry Potter series are NOT kiddish. Harry Potter 1 is when Harry is 11 and since the story is told through his eyes, it has to be childlike. Now Harry Potter is 16 and the books have matured with the charachter. Harry Potter and the half blood prince is definitely not kiddish (dead bodies..kisses...Horcruxes???? I think not).
