The cliche ’’never judge a book by its cover ’’ couldnt have been more apt elsewhere.
The cover of ’’Harry Potter and the philosopher’s stone ’’ says ages 8-12...but hey im 23 and I have no qualms whatsoever in declaring that this one is for all ages , and anyone with imagination will agree with me when I say that this is a simply amazing book !!!! It will bring back all the fantasies you had as a child( and probably still have) in an incredibly fascinating and entertaining manner.
The book is about Harry Potter, an eleven year old orphan , whose life with his loathsome( to say the least) relatives is transformed when he learns he is actually a wizard and not an ordinary ’’muggle’’( non magical person).
He is admitted into the residential school for the wizards..The Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.
The rest of the story can be summed up in one word..MAGICAL !!!
A must read, un-put-downable, gripping...i could go on & on.....its in a league of its own, a new genre of literature.
