Pottermania!

J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter series prove that she is a genius! The books are absolutely spellbinding and almost realistic!

Harry Potter is a young, orphaned British boy who lives with his aunt and uncle The Dursleys. On his 11th birthday Harry finds out that his parents were wizards and he too is one! Harry is sent to Hogwarts, the school of magic where he encounters a new life filled with wizards, witches, sorcerers, spells, ghosts and ghouls.

Harry here learns that his parents were killed by the powerful and evil wizard Voldmort and some of Voldmort’s powers were actually transferred to Harry.

What begins next is the eternal battle of god against evil. Harry with his friends Ron and Hermione, Hagrid the gamekeeper and Professor Dumbledore encounter a series of adventure.

In Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry comes across the dangerous criminal Sirius Black, who is another dark wizard and co-murderer of Harry’s Parents.

Sirius escapes from Azkaban, the prison for the defaulters of magical laws and stalks Harry. What follows is an astounding and spell binding story.

Reading the Harry Potter books is like watching and exciting thriller movie with strange characters and special effects. Your heart actually thumps with excitement while you’re turning to read a new page.

People of all ages including Prince Charles have been glued to the series! Rowling was recently honored by the Queen of England too!

However, these books may not be suitable reading for children below the age of 10 as they contain certain episodes that may frighten young children.
