Using the thin probe which is attached to the cap of the bottle, this surma is applied to the inside of the lower eyelid usually. To achieve the smoky look it can also be put on the inner part of the upper eyelid as well as on the eyelid.
The lead storyAs usual, the US has banned it as they claim it contains high levels of lead. I’m inclined to continue using it though, for I am not a big fan of US claims. We use expensive eye cosmetics from the West which do contain far more dangerous chemicals without banning them!

Pros: It looks beautiful and feels comforting. It does not smudge disastrously. But it is easy to smudge to desired effect.
Cons: A warning from the US that it contains lead.
