I can never forget Hasratein for 2 reasons: ’’The character Savi’’ and ’’Shefali who played it’’. For the first time, Indian family mindset was openly exposed to the idea of the other woman on TV. One of the special features of the serial is how Ajai Sinha has handled Savi. The negative trait that a woman gets out of such an existence is given a positive shade. This is fantastic. Shefali can’t just be beaten by anyone, but herself only. The background music, the title song, the locations ...all are mindblowing.. Just hear the title track and understand its meaning....It’s so real...
I didn’t miss a single episode ever since Shefali took over. Infact I used to wait for Tuesdays 9:30. Upto 10:00 I wouldn’t change the channel or do anything except watching it. If it is aired again, I will be ready to watch it all over again....becuase such serials(I mean direction and presentation..not the story) are not seen anymore. Zee TV must be credired for it....
