Hi All, I am sharing my experience, which helps someone to take a decision. At the time of taking a new connection, they call many times later if the customer gets an issue, they can only reply in emails and no one ready to take responsibility to resolve the issue.
Below the actual text, I sent to Hathway team.
Recently I am receiving some calls from unknown persons since the last few months saying that they are a legal team, and I received legal notice. They did not mention any more details, I thought it was fake calls.
however, today I received a text message to my mobile saying that some legal notice sent on my Hathway account number and for more details to contact legal team. Below the text message I received.
A legal notice has been sent to user MURTHY for Hathway Broadband A/c No. 1106373531 plz pay immediately Rs1042.52 to avoid further legal action. For any query cont. Legal Team 9871571379, 9650340386.
And the background is, I was using Hathway internet a few years back, and I have paid all my dues till that date, and I asked them to disconnect due to Jio was introduced with fewer fares. After that, your executives called a couple of times and asked me to continue the services, but I would like to continue with jio for some time. That time no one of your executives informed to about any dues that I have to pay if any.
And now, why I got this text message suddenly, could you please check and confirm me is it a fake message or do I need to pay anything. Please confirm ASAP. Paying 1000 rs is not a big issue for me, but without intimating since last few years, you come up with this legal notice things I am not really happy. also, that being corporate service providers, the service your providing really surprising.
Later I came to know that somehow my prepaid connection changed to postpaid, but I never asked to do so.
Later, I requested many times to call me once and reverify the background, but they don’t.
Finally, I don’t have any option except to pay the bill to avoid unnecessary disturbances.
Please be cautious, without your notice plans may change you will be in big problem.
