I called the customer care for a new connection and within? 20mins two agents from Hathway dropped at my doorstep.I opted for a new connection thinking I might benefit in some way.These guys showed me the current plan in my locality which is 80mbs speed and 1000gb free download with free WiFi router for Rs 2300 for three months.I told them that since I knew how poor their services are(from experience) I wont pay the money but will do once they come and fix everything.
They insisted that they will require the money for documentation only then they can provide their services.They promised that for new installation it takes the only 24hrs for set up.Dumb as I can get I gave them the money expecting to get the internet services by two days at least.Its day five now still no sight of those rouges.
I called the agent the next day itself to check where we are at and as expected he said they will fix by evening. Nobody came which again was as expected.The second day I called the agent only to know that he blocked my number.I immediately called customer care who as usual said will take a complaint against the agent and will get my internet fixed within 24hours.This procedure of me calling agent and calling customer service for no avail continued on the third and fourth day.
The usual answer is the issue will be fixed within the next 24 hours and a complaint has been raised against the executive?.I thought enough is enough and asked the customer service to return my money as they took it via debit card but to my disgust, they said I will be refunded after 45days.Would you believe that.I think Ill just have to wait for them to fix it at their own leisure and exhaust the three month period.
If you still think you want to go for Hathway broadband then here is my prediction for you
1.there is no such thing as internet speed of 80mbps for Hathway.Its 64kbps only.
2.you will never get full 30days internet.the Max would be 24-26days only.the rest of the days you will have connection issues which wont be resolved in a year.
3.the customer service is absolutely pathetic.the standard answer for any freaking issue is "your issue will be resolved in the next 24 hours" and if its not resolved the standard dialogue will change to "your issue will be resolved in the next 24-48hours".Trust me you will hear this.
4.whatever the issue nobody is bothered to call back and enquire and you will need to be behind them until the next 24-48 hours end.
5.i faced this many times.this happens end of you subscription date.they will disconnect the services and wont bother to fix it inspite of you paying the money.You need to call and tell them that you paid the money and they will try to fix it in next 24-48 hours.I then thought I should pay two-three days in advance to avoid disconnection but its Hathway and they will do what they do best-disconnect services.
Dont go for this crappy service.I have used their services for over a year and I know the crap I went through with this bloody service.I took this now because I shifted house and thought Ill renew my account and so took a new account and ended up with this headache all over again.
Take it from me go for some other internet providers.they will be far better than this crap.take anything, local provider or anything but this.
