HATHWAY :: pathetic quality of Internet service

Hi All, I am planning to move to Consumer forum against the Hathway inter net service provider.


I had sent the following mail to Hathway about 3days ago and have not yet received any response:

AS I AM FED UP with the pathetic quality of Internet service provided by you.  I would like you to refund me the advance amount that you had collected for the next two month’s and disconnect the service.


Following are the reasons that I am going for disconnecting the service:

  1. pathetic quality of speed and service.

  2. Almost every day the net goes down for about 6 to 10 hours.

  3. You don’t even have commonsense to inform your customers if there is a maintenance work going on and that you will not be able to provide Internet service for 10 hours.

  4. You don’t have a toll free no. You expect customers to call using there own money to figure out daily what is wrong with the service.

  5. In the last two weeks I had spent around lot of money and time trying to call you asking to provide me minimum Internet service at least 3 hours per day.

  6. 16th Dec 2014: complaint no. 11423624: service was down for about 8 hours.

  7. 17th Dec 2014: complaint no. 11431611: service was down for 6-7 hours.

  8. 19th Dec 2014: complaint no. 11451267.: service was down for one than 10 hours.

  9. 28th Dec 2014: complaint no. 11511869: service is already down since 4 hours.  And I am not sure if it will be up today.

  10. I am spending additional Rs.2000.00 per month for a backup Internet service as your service is highly UNRELIABLE.

  11. Customer service and response is horrible.

  12. I had given reasonable feedback about 10 to 15 times in the past 4 months but nothing has changed or improved.

  13. It’s a fact that Hathway is cheating the customers by collecting advance money and then not providing proper speed and quality of Internet connection.

AS I had already paid additional three months of advance towards the Internet connection. I would kindly request you to refund the remaining two months payment and then only disconnect your service.


As I Don not have any further plans to continue with your service provider.

This Very Clearly shows how worst the service provider is in providing internet services to the consumers.


Let me know if any one else has simile issues with Hathway so that we can all file a consumer notice against Hathway together.
