I Sent request on 24th Nov and paid in cash for an existing connection renewal and plan upgradation.
Mr Jyotiba sitting in vanaz office at collection desk assured me that they will send the modem and service will start in 3 hours. I paid the bill and what thy did is activated a plan of low speed and closed my connection. Then from Tuesday to Friday thy told me whenever I went to their office that modem will come in 3 hours. Finally when I forced them to give their seniors contact no. I received modem after 5 hours.
Then they said that modem will take3 hours to get activated and then I will be able to use the plan. After 15 hours and 17 calls to customer care I got the head office details when I reached the head office they activated my plan. Mr. Sameer who calls him technical head said that again it will take 2-3 hours and if it doesnot work at full speed come to office again. SO after 5 days and a visit to their technical office in Erandwane I got my internet started.
What they actually had to was to unbind my mac address of old modem and bind my user id to mac address to new modem. Those in technical field will know that it takes only 15 minutes for doing it manually. But they took it more than 5 days for same. So if you have money for waste then purchase the hathway service and still I would suggest never ever change your plan or it would be headache to you. TO deal with call center ask them to connect to a technical person if they dont do it dont allow them to cut the call as the BPO guys are just reading a script given to them by their superiors.
