2004 through 2008 I had to use this connection, not just in one city but two, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Initially in Hyderabad the connection seemed fine, but I was frustrated with the reliability of the connection.
If it went offline used to take multiple sessions of anger and at least a week to get resolution. Unfortunately this was the only provider in both of the areas I was staying.
The bangalore story was worst due to the terribly long cable the connection never worked. I used to be on call and supposed to provide support in 15 minutes, this suffered heavily due to this and I ended up working in office on weekends or going to my friends house for the work.
Hathway had changed my definition of on demand internet, it showed that many parts of our top cities don’t have decent internet connection! Thank god for Beam cable, I really know what speed, service and reliability means. Not sure how pathway is doing now, but due to the pains I suffered I would never recommend this or try it.
