We have been Hathway subscribers for long.( Had to coz there was no one better and of course the wiring that was all ready)
We had renewed our connection in February 2011 where we were promised 2 GB extra(which was never credited) if an yearly package of 12GB was taken. Considering its home use, we expected this 12GB should run for an year; the same way as last year. We were informed that it got over in just 5 months. It is practically not possible for us to use it so much as no one is at home during the day to use the internet so much. Our wireless is secure so its not possible for anyone else to use and as it is, the internet is almost always shut during the day. There is definitely some problem in Hathway equipment else this would never happen. Seems knowingly or unknowingly some wrong debits happen.
When we decided not to renew, the salesperson promised to look into this( he also agreed that many subscribers complained about overbilling). Listening to his talk, on 2nd Aug.2011, it was renewed for 2 months with a 2 GB plan & kept a record of all downloads to enable checking. All of a sudden we discover that this 2GB too is used up within a month!
Hathway helpline does nothing. The complaints dont help bcos theres no one answerable. As long as youre their customer, they dont give a s**t. The moment you shift to another provider, they will keep chasing you & offering you freebies.
Stay away from these guys.
