I am a hathway customer for 4 months now in Chennai. Initially had 128kbps connection to see the service and reliability and later had 1mbps prepaid connection. You would definitely not get 1MBPS speed and due to incessant rains or whatever the connection is not so reliable these days. But at any time during weekdays or weekends, the customer service(technical) has always been good and decent. I have heard about Airtel customer service(surprisingly I have seen their poor sales customer service too) is pathetic and hence took hathway and I pretty happy with them till date.
Any problem would be rectified within few hours or sometimes few minutes.Overall, if you are looking at decent speeds and connection, you can be happy with hathway. Because I feel customer service is of utmost importance. I have couple of other services at home like big tv, even super market sales, airtel mobile, reliance mobile, and comparing the customer service of all these with hathway, I would rate them the best. Being in US for couple of years, I can even compare them with some decent customer service of time warner(who are considered to have just average customer service in US - which is actually pretty good compared many of our product’s customer service).
