OK lets start from the begining. I call their sales rep and fill the form and give the advance, he promises speeds of 60kbps(on a 64 kbps) connection and a connection within 24 hours.
From the next they he stops even taking my calls. After about 5 calls to customer service a couple of guys come aod do the cabling. after about 7 hours another guy comes with the modem, you think you have got it finally but no, the accout has to be activated from Bombay which takes another 48 hours!! so after 4 days and 20 calls I finally get my connection.
i check the speed, its 35 kbps so I call up customer care again guess what there technical department had to say sir, we promise only 70 - 80% of the speed so 70 % of 64 is nealy 40 and you are gettin almost 35-37 so good speed na!!
i feel like banging my head on the wall!! I cant believe the mathematical skills of these people they can literally make 2+2=5!!
I hope TRAI does something about it otherwise companies like Hathway will keep taking people for a ride.
Not to mention the downtime which varies from 2 hours to 12 hours a day. And if you call 24 hour customer care after 7 PM they ll say sir, I can see that your modem is offline. It will fixed not before tomorrow morning so whats the point of having a 24 hour call centre!!
I suggest you continue with a dialup connection rather than taking hathway cable.
