If you are a potential customer of Hathway Broadband and are considering availing of their broadband service, do read my experience.
The Hathway broadband internet service is extremely poor in my area(Borivali East). The network is regularly down and their engineers are always fixing the issue.
Every time your internet service goes down, if you contact the call center they will say their server is down.
The Hathway ISP server can put IRCTC servers to shame for their downtime. If there is some problem at your end of the connection, expect their customer service reps to issue complex instructions which in the end will not work.
At some point in the call, they will resort to the standardServer is down in your area, engineers are fixing the issue and ask you to wait for the issue to be resolved. In the meanwhile, I suppose they start praying that the service fixes itself and starts up again on its own so that they dont have to listen to an irate customer.
The marketing team is also extremely laid back and doesnt care if you are a loyal customer. They will keep announcing newer plans that have faster speeds and cheaper fees but will make all efforts to keep you in the old expensive plan, you have to figure out which plan you want yourself and forcefully insist that you want to change the plan.
MTNL will probably better Hathways when it comes to marketing and customer and thats saying something about Hathways customer focus.
If you are thinking of going for Hathway Broadband, I would strongly recommend against such a decision and would suggest MTNL Triband and Airtel as better alternatives.
Make a wise choice dont go for Hathway connection, I have already cancelled my connection, dont subscribe for it and avoid the hassles.
