I have a hathway broadband connection that guarantees unlimited downloads at a minimum of 600 Kbps.
But I normally receive speeds of around 400-450Kbps and as if this was not bad enough, the connection frequently slows down to speeds of 100 Kbps making it impossible to even browse webpages.
On complaining about this issue, the technical staff told me that broadband connections are inherently variable in their speeds and that they cannot do anything about it.
When I asked to disconnect the service they told me that I will loose the money that I paid for the next 6 months since that is all pre-paid and does not matter if I have not availed of those services yet.
