It has only been a month since I got Hathway. I used to wake up everyday praying to God that my connection works fine. I have now turned an atheist. When the service engineer came to install my router, he held me ransom just to reset the router. Refused to work unless I paid him Rs. 500.My payment cheque bounces because the sales rep forgot to put in Hathway’s name in the payee area of the cheque. My connection is cut off for two days and I am charged Rs.112 penalty for the cheque bouncing.
Weird problems like non Indian youtube videos do not work. Customer care gives vague responses like it is problem of the video. When I contest that, it becomes problem of my device, but it works on my 3G network, so it becomes a problem that I have exceeded my high speed download limit and my speed has dropped. But it is the start of the month and I haven’t exceeded. Big awkward silence. Engineer is sent. Imagine my fear, paralysis and general helplessness when it is the same serial ransom holder from my router day. He shows that Youtube works fine on his phone and waltzes off. But doesn’t leave behind his phone for me to browse, so it means nothing to me. I was just relieved he didn’t charge me anything, so I forgot that he did not solve the problem.
Meanwhile I am still 500 rupees lighter and without Youtube.
