I have been using Hathway for an year now. I must say this is my second try with Hathway. Both the time they have been successful in fooling me. So shamefully, I write this review so that you too can try and get similar experience if you are lucky!
Its great - Frankly speaking it is really great to use Hathway Broadband connection until it breaks down and most interesting thing is it doesn’t break frequently. Sometimes broadband goes down for 4-5 hours a day and sometimes bit more, like evening 6PM to next morning 11AM or something like that. During it is live, at least once in an hour it needs to take some rest. Of course you download and upload so much data, even a kooli or labour needs rest right? Sometimes it gets connected back and you should complete all your online works quickly before it goes down again.
Its fast - Yes its fast to download any music/movie but you cant do anything else, even cant surf easily. Of course you are downloading a movie there, no wait until it gets finished. Update your status on FB later please. I have said my wife countless times!
Its respectful - You need some respect? Go call the Hathway customer "care" you will get loads. They never make you wait. They give you the complaint number and close it without even you come to know (may be before even you hang the call).
I have been calling the customer care since last 15 days and most of those guys and girls sitting (idle) over that are my "phone friends" now. In fact I remember at least 6-7 of their names and even they recognize me easily. They just start with, "I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to you sir" and I start bashing them.
That’s the routine now. I have a big list of complaint numbers, I raise a new one and next time I call to check the status, the answer is " Sir. this is already closed. your modem is online . I can see the Internet is working sir and I say, "Oh yes. I forgot to say that I am jobless and cant find anything to spend my time."
Life goes on - Now that I was unable to get what I wanted, I agree I may be unfit to use Hathway broadband I feel unlucky and ashamed for the same. However it is very sad for me to decide to discontinue my "connection" with Hathway.
Note: I have not mentioned any of the names of Hathway Customer care executives (& floor supervisors who where absconding every-time I called them) as they are just trying to make their living there.
I wish them all the best for their job interviews and wish them luck to get a better job somewhere else.
