Haveli Kondapur- Horrible Restaurant food n Staff

What do you go to a restaurant for? Ambience, food and having a nice time.

Neither of these is fulfilled if you go to Haveli, Kondapur.

I went there because of the good name of the associated restaurant in Lifestyle(which is indeed a decent one.) But the Kondapur restaurant doesn’t match up to its Lifestyle counterpart. Let us evaluate Haveli, Kondapur restaurant on certain factors:

1.Cost: The buffet is priced at Rs.219+12.5% tax and is more expensive than other restaurants in the vicinity like Ginger Court etc.(And you will experience that this extra price goes for an absolute waste)

2.Ambience: Ambience is again nothing special. Just a few dim lights and crowded chairs. There are other restaurants with such ambience, and they charge much less.

3. Taste of Food: The food is just average(or perhaps below that). They have a variety but all almost begging to have some flavor. Example, They had two types of paneer(sweet and salty) but both were awful. Ouch!

4. Quality of food: I had stomach cramps and loose motions one hour after having lunch buffet there, and kept feeling heavy throughout the day. By the evening I was running high fever. Eventually I vomited out complete food in the evening, and that’s when I realized I had had food poisoning. Now, you can judge the quality of food yourself.

And by the way, it was my marriage anniversary. And thanks to them, my marriage anniversary eve was spoiled, and I spent my evening vomiting and running fever.

5. Arrangement: There was a food shortage. And in the end there was a long queue because their ice-cream stock had finished up. Gawd! How I’m repenting stepping inside that restaurant.

6.Staff/Customer Service: You do expect the staff to be courteous. Waiters were fine. But when I reported about the above incident to their MD the next day, he was far from being apologetic or sympathetic. He started asking, how many people who had eaten with me, had vomited. Brilliant! Maybe the man wanted me to have collected Vomit as a proof that I had fallen sick because of his stale food.

I wonder if the Haveli Kondapur’s MD has had any education in customer-relationship, apart from learning to be humane in the least.

To sum it up, they serve horrible food at expensive price and zero customer service. So, judge for yourself, if you would like to spoil your day here or if you have tons of money to waste.

Note: I’ve given one Stars in rating, because there were no options for Zero Star.
