I recently took Nizammuddin Bangalore Rajdhani Express for my visit to Hyderabad. During both my journeys (while going I took Nizamuddin- Secunderbad Rajdhani) I was shocked to see the treatment meted out to the AC II tier passengers. The quality of food served was bad. In fact while returning many in my compartment handed over complaint to the train superintendent. I suffered from food poisoning. The bed sheets and towels were not clean at all. Less said about the toilets. They were awful. The attendents were busy in collecting their tips at the end of the day not bothering about the passengers. Second bottle of water had to be begged literally.
Only soothening part of both the journeys were the TTEs. They were cordial and helpful. But the point is, where is the money that is being paid by the travellers for the expensive journey being used. Government by just giving their part of responsibility the garb of out sourcing cannot wash off their hands. They need to monitor the work daily. If this is the case of Rajdhani, then what is the plight of passengers in other trains who pay for the rotten food while is not palatable by any sense of imagination.
