I have recently travelled on this Rajdhani from Bangalore to New delhi (H.Nizamuddin). My experience is as below. (I travelled on 2009 Jauary 3rd week) Bad Things of this Rajdhani
All coaches are very old.
Because the coaches are old, there is a problem with the overall maintenance. It wont look clean and the toilets are also looking the same way. Rats are also seen running through the coach
Very Important - As soon as train crosses some 80-100 Kms speed, the coach begins osculating in vertical direction which makes your sleep totally uncomfortable.
I think as these are all old coaches, there is a problem with the suspension and hereby the bogy vibrates too much and you feel like your stomach is also osculating in vertical direction and this makes you very uncomfortable. I couldnt sleep for some 3-4 hours because of this.
- Even though the train had Wi-Fi Internet, we didnt have a plug point at our side, as this was damaged a long back and its not yet repaired.
So you cant charge your cell or connect laptop. 5. There was a problem with water at least 4-5 times during the journey. Water on nearby coaches also got finished. Then we had to wait some 1-2 Hours for next station to fill the water.
Food served on board is sometimes good, sometimes just average. Also we got most of the time it cold.
Attitude of the staff is worst. They have got "Who cares" mentality all the time and when the last night before your journey ends, they will come for tips and that time they will smile broad..!
View from Window- Very Bad. As they have done a Airtel branding of whole train, windows are also covered with Net kind of Advt screen, so you wont be able to see any views unless you try hard to see thru the pin holes...!!
Good Things --->
Punctuality - Train is on time most of the time.
You will not feel boring in the journey, as they keep you busy with eating most of the time. Morning Bed Tea, 2 Hours after Break Fast, again Juice, Lunch at 12:30, again High Tea at 4, soups at 7, Dinner at 8..So you can keep on eating for most of the time
Train has got Wi-Fi Internet.
Conclusion -- I think it will be better if you can pay some extra 100s and book an air ticket instead of going by this Rajdhani as now Bangalore- Delhi ticket has come down to some 2850-3000 Range.
