I bought HCL Netbook 2 months back. I was lured in by the “on spot servicing”, which is only offered by one other manufacturer, DELL. But the cost was comparatively less than DELL netbook. In just 17 days, there was some problem with the 2 GB RAM. I called up the customer service to utilize the “on spot servicing”.
They didn’t send their representative until 4 days. When the representative came, he checked the issue and said he had no 2GB RAM with him. He said he will be back with the RAM after 2 days. He didn’t return to fix the problem till one week after that. When he finally arrived with the RAM, when I asked him about the delay, he rudely said that they didn’t have the RAM with them and had to order it from another warehouse.
Never fall for such schemes like “on spot servicing”. DELL promises this service but is prompt with complaints and serves the customers well. I am truly regretting choosing HCL.
