Although HCL is a renowned name in the field of laptops and notebooks but in accordance with my views it is an overestimated brand. First of all the battery life of HCL laptop will not remain satisfactory and within one year the condition will be so bad that you would require to plug it in whenever the laptop is on. The peripherals used inside are not so bad but the battery life deteriorated over time and the same happened to everyone.
Secondly, the CD Writer attached was not good enough as well. The buttons are quite stiff and not very smooth.
The picture quality and sound quality is not so bad. In 2007 the capacity of laptop was not as high as it is now a days. Therefore one would require to format the machine frequently.
The laptop was used for studies and orkut, a famous name then. But although till today it opens but not in a very good condition. The service centre’s services are not very satisfactory.
If webcams are packaged with every piece of HCL and all apps are given then it will be an add-on work with the product.
