I have taken a home loan from HDFC in January, 2010 for a new flat, still under construction. HDFC was recommended to us by the builder. We were told that it will take 3-4 working days for our loan to be sanctioned. In reality, it took 1 month. We took the loan in Pune as the property is located in Pune, but we live in Mumbai. We had to make repeated trips to keep following up with HDFC just to get our loan sanctioned. Disbursal was another long delay. During pre-sales discussions, HDFC Sales people had assured us that since we would not be in Pune to collect later disbursal cheques, they would arrange for them to be delivered to the builder. However, not a single cheque has been collected on time or proactively by the sales people.
Every single time I have had to escalate the issue to the Manager and only then do the sales people pick up the check.The entire team we have dealt with has forgotten about us once the loan was sanctioned. If they are only concerned with achieving loan targets, they should not make false promises to customers. When I try to call them up, either they don’t answer, or they cut the call. The Manager is never available to talk to directly. I am fed up with this pathetic customer service. The Sales people involved are Mr.Vishwanath Patne and Mr.Raghavendra. Their Manager is Mr.Shekhar Wagh.
I strongly recommend not dealing with any of these people.
