I have worked in HDFC bank for over 3 years, its a good place to be, you learn how to handle people, believe me all are difficult right from the lower to the upper levels. People who do good are people who can manage the bosses.. and their super bosses...
The bank never throws a person out of job, if not its a integrity issue, however it squeezes the living daylight of the working class...In the bank a lot of people have grown within the ranks, , , disadvantage is they have been workers and not leaders, they lack the vision to question at the right time or bring in radical changes...and prefer to have yes ministers around... hence majorly the culture....
But the bank has a lot of great individuals, I have a lot of wonderful friends working in the bank, they are amazing bankers with in depth domain knowledge , , but majorly they carry a mixed baggage of emotions.... HDFC teaches to chase numbers, a/c verticals , horizontal people know how to chase numbers or let me be prudent in saying efficient number management......good thing about an HDFCite is u take them and put them in tough situations... they’ll swim through....
