Worst Experience-After 3 Year Being A HDFCCustomer

It’s Amazing. They( Kaushambi Ghaziabad(UP) HDFC Bank Branch) forced  to provide any bank  statement, In order to open HDFC bank account. I was informed that bank statement is manadatory.


I was there to open a saving bank account having below given documents-


1) Pan Card Original


2) Addhar Card Original - Having Hometown Address


3) Voter ID Card - Having Hometown Address


4) Gas Pass Book Original - Having Current Address


5) Gas Booking Delivery Slip(which was delivered on 6 September) - Having Current Address


6) HDFC Bank Credit Card Bill Original  - Having Current Address of Kaushambi


7) Another Credit Card Bill Original - Having Current Address of Kaushambi


8) BroadBand Landline Bill Original - Having Current Address of Kaushambi


9) 3 Photo


10) 11, 000 cash


Irony is this after having all above mentioned documents the bank employ denied to open saving bank account. I requested to him that sir I am holding credit card of HDFC bank from past 3 years. He said it doesnt matter and it’s a rule that you need to provide any bank statement which is having your name and address. He was saying that it’s RBI Guideline. Because we want to open quality account. LOL


I asked him to provide the same thing in written, he was ready to provide it in written. After that I was writing my question on paper that why you are not opening my account? So manger come(She) to me. And she started to said to me that sir we can open your account but if you will give me bank statement we can judge you that will you be able to manage the minimum balance or not.( what the bullshit she was saying, It was really very worst experience for me from HDFC Bank).


After that she started ready to open account but she(Manager HDFC Kaushambi Branch)denied to take cash & asked to provide cheque, and said we will not open account in cash mode( Here I have conceren is there any Guide line from HDFC that you will open account in only check payment?). After that I came home and provided cheque to HDFC bnk executive, who came with me to collect the cheque.


Afterthat account was open on the basis of PAN CARD, AADHAR Card, 1 Photo & Cheque.


So issue is the department was very worst. Way of managing costumer was worst. And I faced too much stress to process to oen saving bank account. Even till now the reputation was very good in my mind for HDFC on the basis of credit card relationship, but now it is really very worst experience for me which I faced to open a saving bank account.


Appropriate action required on responsible person, so that any other person will not face this type of situation.


How she can say that sir  we demand bank statement to chck that you can maintain minimum balance or not. Is this way to deal with customer? Was I there to take Loan? I need appropriate explanation that were above mentioned 10 points(documents & cash) not suffecient to open a saving account in HDFC Bank?  Why this type of behave was done by Manager and supporting staf.
