I had taken home loan from HDFC Pune Shivajinagar Branch(headquarters) 2 and half years back. As a part of repayment I was asked for ECS mandate.
I had intimated that my salary account is in SBI branch Ahmednagar .
After spending Rs.200 for ECS approval from bank, I was told Ahmednagar branch can not process ECS.
So I had to give Post dated cheques(PDCs) with loss of time and money.
I was paying through PDCs for over last 2 years.
Now I have changed jobs, so I asked their customer care through website query.
I had raised a request to recollect my PDCs on 3rd March for which I didnt get reply even after 4 days.
I had met respective people at main branch Pune on 6th of March.
This date falls well before actual date of check 10th March, but he told we cannot stop it as processing is already started.
They also told processing is done at Chennai and we cant do anything.
Today there is no such rule mentioned on the company website nor on the loan documents received that you should intimate 10 days before to stop processing.
How customer should assume HDFC start processing before 10 days that too processing is not done from head office of the city but somewhere else?
I was also fined for Rs.100 from bank side and Rs. 100 from HDFC.
