This is the email I wrote to HDFC bank after being frustrated by their customer service and was unable to access my own money. If there was an option to rate them zero, I would have.
Hi grievance team,
I got my mobile number updated after a month long follow-up which otherwise could have been done in few days, and later I was able to login & access my net banking.Ive been following it up with HDFC bank, R.S Puram branch, Coimbatore for sometime, and I never heard back from them after 26 June.
Later, I had no options left to contact grievance team directly to get my mobile number updated and do the transaction using my netbanking. Thanks that you updated it. If I would be aware of this, I would have contacted you directly and saved a lot of my time.
Now when I was about to transfer some money to my family through netbanking for an emergency, HDFC allowed me to transfer Rs.6000 at once and when I tried again to transfer(NEFT) some more money to other person in my beneficiary list, It simply does not let me do that. I was prompted to change security question, and I changed it almost 4 times, after resetting my security question, and confirming my card number, ATM pin, expiry date and confirming all the above. I simply see the message change the security questions. As per the message I tried to change my security question and all I see after that is " This transaction could not be completed, Contact Bank" What does that mean?
Im wondering why HDFC is making it so much difficult to process money in my own account? Despite being a customer for 4-5 years.I spoke to a customer service person again for this issue last night and I was transferred to 3 customer service persons consecutively and finally a lady spoke she promised me that this will be fixed in 3 hours and its now 8 hours after I spoke to her and still Im seeing the same message now and still Im not able to do any money transfers. Im frustrated and unsatisfied with HDFC bank and its unpleasant customer service.
Please let me know why Im unable to transfer my funds to my beneficiaries added? I would like to know when youll be setting all these things. If this continues I will take legal actions against HDFC
