Worst Banking

My employer wanted me to open a salary account with HDFC back. It took me nearly a week to get the welcome kit. It was good at the first experience. But later it turned out to be a burden for me. Their phone banking is poor, netbanking is the worst kind of and banking service in the branch is also equally poorest among the competitors.


First I’ll talk about the netbanking service. For this they claim that dont come to the branch, dont stand in queue rather do it online. But the problem is, to use any of the netbanking facility you have to personally go to the branch, stand in a long queue(donno why people bank with HFDC), then personally fill a form. Then only you can use the services such as bill pay, fund transfer.


My biggest problem with HDFC is they dont accept cash deposits. As compared to ICICI when urgently required I can simply call my friend and he can deposit the cash in my account and it will immediately be reflected. in HDFC you can’t certainly do that. They dont have cash deposit in the ATM too.


Secondly, their banking timings. They are open at 9 till 3 PM. Simply they dont support the persons who can come to the bank before and after their office hours. This is simply nonsense.


For any kind of letter communication( cheque book request, address change confirmation.) it takes more than a weeks time. which is ridiculous.


At last but not the least, if you wish for a HDFC executive to contact you for loans or any kind of other services, it takes 10 to 15 days. I have opted for a loan twice but I get call for the same after 10-15 days. I used to complain about it. And they simply say they will forward my request. God knows why these people behave like this.


People, staty away from this bank.
