I have a salary account(cust ID 33797296) in MG Road Bangalore of HDFC bank. From my recent experience with this branch I will rate this bank in general and this branch in particular as the worst in terms of customer care. I had placed request for a cheque book recently and received a SMS on 9th April that my cheque book has despatched through some unknown courier company Teamdelta.
After that I waited 3-4 days expecting delivery of the cheque book. But neither it was delivered nor I received any call from the courier. When I contacted them, I was surprised to know, cheque book was delivered to some Meena on 13th April without any verification of identity. Since there is no person called Meena at my address, I requested the carrier to send the delivery person to come and trace the cheque book, but they didnt respond.
Then I lodged complaint to customer care, net banking mails and mails to their MD. But for last one week, except receiving some automated complaint number, no action was taken by customer care. See the attitude of Indias so called largest private bank towards their customer.
An important document like cheque book is being dispatched through a unknown courier possibly by corrupt bank management because they have some under the table arrangement with the courier and the result the customer suffer. Public should think twice before doing any business with this bank. Even PSU banks provide better customer care than this bank. HDFC bank doesnt share their branch contact with customers and whatever be the urgency their all India customer cares minimum response time is 7 days. Here also I get smell of corruption of top management who might have under the table arrangement with the call centre who is handling their all India customer care service and to make them busy and get call they have made their branches out of bound. It is a vicious racket controlling the whole system.
