I don’t know how they have been able to open such a huge number of branches all over the country. they are not suppose to even have a single branch.
I am having a salary account with the bank for quite some time. On the basis of that account they promised to provide me a life time international gold card for free of charges. So if there is without any charges who is going to refuse so I also agreed. But when I got the first statement there was some good amount of charges was found to be debited there. After calling up the customer service they told me that the charges is going to be reversed. But in the next statement I was shocked to see that the late payment charges and intrest on the previous amount has also been levied to my account. So I again called up the customer service they again promise me to reverse the same but nothing happened and I got some more charges debited in my account in next statement. So I wrote a huge mail(around 4-5 pages) to them, that time I got the reply from there HO and they told me that there is no facility of providing any credit card free of charges from the bank and we are looking for the persons who promised you this and punishing them but I have to pay the annual changes and one late payment fees and the rest they will reverse.
I agreed to that as well, but later I found that they are really really lazy in customer service. There are number of instances when I deposited a cheque for payment towards credit card and they lost the cheques without any trace and after paying to their representative the total due amount on the stop they still debit the charges for late payment.
The cheques deposited for my saving account takes almost a life to get cleared. No cheque gets clear balance earlier then 5 days which is extremely high compared to 3 days period of even nationalized banks. Even a cheque which pertains to the same branch where I am having an account took almost a week to clear.
After such instances now I have stopped using the credit card of this bank at all. And going to close this salary account as soon as shifting job to some other company.
Really a bad experience banking with this bank.
