Essentially this review is purely a customer perspective of a Bank, which though being in the limelight on numerous occasions has chosen to stay away and deliver. This unlike the path taken by ICICI Bank (Hype and celebrity endorsements appear to be the order for the day).
HDFC Bank conjures images of a focused bank delivering on customer satisfaction & innovation of product deliverables. Using a combination of technology and the human face to interaction effectively.
Be its ATM coverage, the net banking facility, the bill payment facility on the net, SMS banking, debit cards, customer service hotline, phone banking, etc, etc it has been constantly at the fore front of developing and launching value-added services for the rest of the industry to follow. Can’t think of any other bank in the business, which has so many first to its credit.
What’s even more surprising is that all of this being achieved without the slightest glitch in managing its customer accounts and yet maintaining the traditional values of the Indian way of banking!!
