HDFC Bank, a genuine, customtakeouter oriented, a customtakeouter committed bank I have come across. I have savings account with several banks as I have been working for the past 10 years(since 2003 after I completed my graduation).
I have accounts with great banks like SBI, IOB, Canara, ICICI, Citi, etc If you survey me which bank I liked the best, I would end up with HDFC and ICICI. ICICI is my personal account in Karaikudi whereas HDFC was offered as my salary account in 2007 when I joined a private ITES company in Chennai. I have had relationship with HDFC Bank since 2007. I don’t care about who the business leaders/ CEO ’s of this bank were. I banked with RA Puram branch when my salary account was opened in May 2007.
You know what, I;ve never known where RA Puram is in Chennai(till date). I’ve been doing all business with HDFC in Nelson Manickam Road, Chennai branch. The staffs are well mannered, there is a personal banker at the entrance who would take care of all your queries and lead you to the concerned counters / officials. Once and only once in my life, my friend deposited my cheque worth Rs. 3000.00 unexpectedly soon( normally he is not so active to deposit in time) and I, without knowing these had transferred the entire Rs. 47800.00 in year 2008 to my another bank account for some reasons via NEFT the previous night and the next morning the cheque came in and was rejected due to no funds. What was I supposed to do? I was supposed to find out where my base branch is in RA Puram, and go and meet the Manager to see to it that I am not penalised. That is what anybody, even you are supposed to if you are in the same situation. Lemme tell you how well, proessional, understanding, kind and customtakeouter oriented/ comitted was the Nelson Manickam Road Branch Manager was with me even though I do not belong to his branch. .He understood my concern, amde me to sit with him at ease, called RA Puram Branch and instructed them to keep the cheque as I had deposited that money Rs. 3000.00 the cheque amount to be cleared. Of course the Manager advised me to be cautious in this matter as he said he won’t be able to help me next time I go with same or similar issue. But see how kind the Manager was . He saved my cheque from getting bounced and my credit history being screwed. I understand people have concerned about HDFC Loans, but as far as I know, HDFC remains the first choice for people going for loans. They have strict criteria’s for approval, but I still feel they should be more genuine when compared to other private banks. Before ending I would like to add that as far as we are active and aware of the bank rules, schedule of charges and other information with regards to Banking, HDFC is always the best Bank for you. If anyone has issues with HDFC Bank Savings or Credit Card Account, please reply back to this review and I shall guide you to get your issue resolved as far as the mistake is not root-caused by you.
