HDFC is the biggest fraud in banking sector. Initially their executive lure by big promises. Once u handover cheque of processing fee, your ordeal starts thereon. Take my case. I handed over cheque for processing fee amounting Rs. 11400/- to DSA, Jitender(Mob. 971660xxxx). Once he got the cheque, everything started following in wrong direction. Their customer executive behave in a manner of Income tax Authorities(superior to Commissioners). They harassed me whenever they desired and also keep calling petty issues.
Sh. Jitender, DSA would always express his inablity to resolve the grievance and he is good for nothing. Only God knows how he has come to banking profession.
Anyway, I got a call from one executive who said that he was on field survey of the plot(as I required loan to purchase plot of HUDA). He gave hint to give him some gratification and even asked me to come to the site. I refused. Seeing that he would get nothing, he gave false report stating that there is no road, electricity poles in the area. HDFC went by his report and did not bother to clarify from HUDA(A reputed civic agency of Haryana Govt.).
Rather they preferred to inform that they will not give loan. What I got was financial loss as well as loss of time(comprising more than one month). I was fortunate that LIC Housing Finance came to my rescue and they gave the loan just in a week without any hassle(as my entire documents as well as plot was 100% authentic).
My piece of advise to all is that beware of HDFC else you are destined to feel harassment and would also lose in side by side. They have started a new business of retaining processing fees without the fault of customer. When u ask to return money, they would say that u have signed the undertaking(You even don’t know while applying as everything is in very small letters).
Still I am fighting to get my processing fee. I am happy that I did not get loan from HDFC.
