Want to get irritated to max level? open HDFC act

I recently had to open HDFC salary account as our company had salary processing with HDFC.


Problems started with the day 1,

  1. It took almost 4 weeks to activate my account after submitting all necessary docs, yes it is unbelievable. Now days nationalized bank like SBI accounts get activated within 3 days.

  2. After regular calls to customer care it got activated. No specific reason why it got delayed.

  3. Net banking is pain taking. It is like you are participating in a quiz competition. Yes, security is needed, customer data needs to be protected. It needs to be achieved with strong technology. Not just putting more questions to user and blaming users if any thing goes wrong.

  4. The amount 50thousand just got transferred from my colleagues’ account to some other account without his knowledge. Poor chap he has struggle day night. After threatening(yes threatening only worked out, requesting did not) bank senior manager that this will be taken to media they resolved it quickly.

  5. Features, services of net banking disappear for unknown time without any intimation and all you need to do is waiting and keep on checking whether it is up or not.

  6. Incompetent bank officials at branches. I don’t have patience to write about this experience. I had to roam around three branches to get ECS form signed.

It is totally annoying, embarrassing experience with HDFC.


My suggestion is, don’t go to HDFC unless you are forced to do so(like in my case).
