HDFC Bank - fleecing customers 17-Aug-200

This is the email I sent to HDFC bank (personal details edited out) Yet again I have been duped by HDFC bank. Last month I got pestered by a staff from HDFC bank, Tripunithura Branch, Cochin, to open an account so the they could meet their target. I was pestered by calls every day and on 28th July, the call frequency was every 10 minutes. I said ok, what the heck, will do someone some good, so I said ok and they came so promptly with the form and took my signature and required documents.


So thus an account was opened.   I had specifically requested netbanking and NOT phonebanking. But the account was opened with phonebanking and not netbanking. In spite of specifying request for netbanking and NOT phonebanking, I was not given netbanking. Today is 17th August. Till date, I have not received my ATM pin or my customer ID number by post.   I have now got my Customer ID from the branch but I am still without pin. Now they have started pestering me again asking for fixed deposit. What is this? You believe in giving NO PROPER SERVICE to customers and you want to sell all products to them. Don’t you have any shame and have no limits as to how much you can harass a person?   I have been associated with HDFC bank since 8 years and I see no change for the better. Your behavior and attitude is only getting worse and worse.   I am put this up on the net for the public to see and be warned.   Regards
