I had been to this particular branch in Bangalore last week with a request to open an overdraft a/c & a Fixed Deposit .
Six days later , I found out by checking thru the net that nothing has been done on this.Although the FD had been booked, the o/d limit was not fixed.
On complaining to the Phone banking Dept (not once but twice) , I was told that the complaint has been forwarded to the branch & that somebody would call me to clarify . 48 hours later I am still awaiting that call .
In frustration I visited the branch & gave a request to close my FD. It is only then that these enlightened souls woke up - they ask me whether I have signed the right form !!!
I told them that whatever form was given to me by the customer service officer had been signed by me .
Instead of sorting out the goof-up at their end , they started their spiel of cross -sell for mutual funds , credit cards! I understand that these days every banker has sales targets , but at the same time they should realise that good service is also equally important as Good service translates into good sales.
If a basic request is not handled properly , then how am I supposed to trust these guys with my investments ?? To say the least , pathetic is their attitude.
