For mouthshut members, now surf more and do all your bank work & lot more with HDFC Netbanking. No need to step out in the sun & go to your nearest branch to do the mundane transactions standing in serpentine q’s.
I have had this account for quite sometime but moved to netbanking around 5 months back and life is bliss ...now.
Before I begin, please note that I have a P4 with a 64 kbps internet cable connection.
NETBANKING
What is it ?
Its like doing what you generally would do in a bank but you do it on Internet except perhaps deposit cheques (if its inter-bank transfer then even that can be managed)

One needs to logon to https://hdfcbank.com - the rest is easy just follow the links depending on what one intends to do. The website is very user friendly and easy to use.
Facilities
VIEW/DOWNLOAD ACCOUNT STMT - Throw away your passbooks, now you can view/download your account statement. I just did it today hassle free.
VIEW CHEQUE STATUS - What happened to the cheque you had deposited last week - well find it here ..
FUND TRANSFER - Transfer funds to other HDFC accounts
FD SUMMARY/NEW FD - Get details of your FD’s or if you have plenty of dough, time you make it earn some interest for you by creating new FD’s.
DD/BANKERS CHEQUE - Need a DD to apply to university or otherwise - its very safe as the DD is delivered to you at your home at very nominal charges.
CHEQUE BOOK/STOP PAYMENT/TDS INQUIRY - The cheque book is couriered home.
BILL PAYMENTS - Well you need to register for this (provide copies of bills) and a nominal charge of Rs. 25/- per quarter, I pay my 3 electricity, MTNL, 2 LIC payments & other bills. And if have HDFC Credit card then you can make the payments for the same here.
Further you have the option of checking how much is to be paid and then confirm payment !!
DEMAT - Already gone are the days of paper share certificates but now I also have the convenience of viewing my demat details and more ..
Loans Auto-Personal-Home - If you take any loans, one can view the status/details of the same.
Railway ticket booking - I did this last month booked 2 rajdhani tickets for Delhi using HDFC debit card, thereby eliminating the middleman and the blackmarketeer. I am doing my bit to reduce corruption - Do you?
I think movie tickets are not far behind and HDFC can also start making payments for other credit cards ..
Ohh I forgot, You can pay your Mobile bills as well and get your cell refilled from this site by directly debiting your account.
