It’s been a very pleasant association so far. I took this loan 6 months back at 10.25 %. The same time my friend had taken a loan at 10.25% from ICICI bank. Now my loan will be reset to 9.75% in the next quarterly cycle where as he still stands 11%.
The customer care has been very helping, prompt and courteous. The branch office (koramangala, Bangalore) is also full of very well behaved staff. The account access via net is also very helpful with prompt online query resolution.

Here are the interest rate changes for me and my friend: April 2008: Both took loans at 10.25% Around August 2008: Both paying interest@ 11.5% due to inflation. Around December 2008: Both came down to 11% Around Feb 2009, HDFC allowed a 0.75% interest lowering with processing fee of 0.5% so mine reset at 10.25% effective from April 1st 2009. ICICI bank loan still at 11 % March 24 2009, HDFC lowers RPLR by 0.5 %, making my loan at 9.75% effective July 1st, ICICI still at 11 %
