I had requested for re-issue of cheque book through HDFC Bank net banking. I received the sms and mail that the same has been despatched at my contact address with bank on 1st Feb10.
On 6th Feb10, on tracking the courier (First Flight) consignment number, I found that the consignment is delivered but I didnt receive it. Further investigating with the first flight local office in Gurgaon, I was informed that the consignment was delivered to HDFC Bank Udyog Vihar branch.
During all these interaction with first flight, I had written numerous mails to HDFC support but the replies were each time very generic in nature. I believe that even their non-automated replies are computer generated having some false names below as replies are identical on all instances. HDFC Bank has definitely set set the worst bench mark in despatching something as small as cheque book to its customer on time despite that in each of my mails I have mentioned my urgency.
I feel pity in having my salaried account in HDFC. Till today Im receiving mail of action within 7 working days.
