I will just keep it short.I dont have any issue with HDFC’s back account I have. Its just their credit cards. I have had HDFC credit card for almost over 3+ years. Didn’t have a single late payment.
But this year due to some personal reasons I couldn’t make the payment on time first time in Jan where where I paid it around 10 days late along with the Late dues. Then again I had a late payment in Feb for , that too , a very small amount.
But what these guys did they called me up and told me to make they payment immediateIt I said ok , told them to send their representative .When he came to my place I wrote him a check but then he didn’t agree to take it he just wanted cash for the min amount due.
I told him that I m making the whole payment with the late payment dues. Still he didn’t agree.I was like "Common I m giving a current check whats the problem???" he called up his supervisor who again threatened me and used abusive language without any provocations.(Stuff like " Why the hell I use a credit cards if I don’t have the B@@@ to pay the money back !!" stuff like that)
They didn’t have any rights to use such langauge with any customer. I was not running away with HDFC’s money. That was totally uncalled for. I also have ICICI card and didnt have a single incident like that even though I had couple of late payments. ICICI reminds its card users by sending SMSs and mentioning the last payment date and amount. HDFC dont do that .Cancelled it for good.
