Service is Worst then the Nationalised Banks

Hi All,


Today I went to HDFC, Pali branch to withdraw some money from the ATM as the branch is very near to me. To my surprise, I had seen both the ATM are not working. I stayed there for 10 minutes in the hope of that ATM will start soon.


Then I went to Branch Manager Mrs. Tasneem Allana who asked to me wait for 5 minutes as she is looking in the matter. After that she asked me to wait for more 5 minutes as the Bank people were doing something. But in actual nothing was happening there. Then she told me that you can withdraw money with withdrawal slip. In actually there was no withdrawal slip available for the common people. I have to request to one Bank staff to give me withdrawal slip.


Thanks to that lady, who had showed me that slips are on the teller and again I found the cashier Mr. Parsi Bansiwal (I think he had given me his wrong name) was not on the chair. After enquiring I came to know that he is doing something with the ATMs. In the meanwhile BM was busy in attending the customer. It had taken more then 30 minutes.


After that I had requested to Mr. Parsi to give me withdrawal slip. He said I will require some id proof. I reuqeasted that BM that I am not having any proof what he is asking. She said you atleast should have the Driving Licence. I said I am not carrying. I told her I have Railway pass with Photograph and my visiting card with me. Also I told her that if she want she can send one of staff with me to my office as it is very near to the branch.


After several request, I got withdrawal slip in my hand. I had filled all the details, but I was not remembering the first 4 digits of my account no as the a/c no is of 13 digit. I had requested to Mr. Parsi to help in the regard. He straight way told me he can not help me in this.


In the meanwhile the BM disappaired from the floor. I had tried to search, but was of not use as it was almost 45-50 minutes wastage in the Pali branch without any result.


I left the branch cursing myself that why I had entered into the wrong bank and wrong branch who can not understand the priority of the people and also missed my lunch due to late.


I am surprised that if the bank is not able to provide ATM service uninteruppted, at least they should co-operate with us.


There is no meaning in getting the Best Bank from BT, rather it should be awarded by the people that it is really best benk.


We only blame Nationalised Banks that they are not providing services to us, but in fact this banks are giving us worst services then nationalised banks. Nationalised Banks lacks infracture and Technology where banks like HDFC can not serve the client after having all the resources and technology.

Note: I have not used the Phone Banking and Internet Banking.
